The Dolan Springs Trail System is located in the small unincorporated community of Dolan Springs, AZ.  The trails are located on 480 acres of Bureau of Land Management land at the northern end of the Mount Tipton Wilderness Area, which is in the Cerbat Mountains.  Mohave County has the trail right-of-way.  Access is east of town off Pierce Ferry Road (see: Trail Map).

The Dolan Springs Trail System welcomes hikers, joggers, equestrians, mountain bikers, and nature lovers of all ages.   The trail is relatively flat and is clearly marked.  Please be sure to bring sun protection, and plenty of water.  What you carry in, please carry out…and don’t forget your camera.   In addition to regular hikes, we also have regular meetings and other social activities (see: Upcoming Events).
 
The Dolan Springs Trail system is an Arizona non-profit tax exempt organization.  Our mission is to provide open space, develop trails and acquire acreage for recreation.  Please click on the buttons on the top left to access our other pages for more information.

On May 22nd, 2014, we received confirmation that we got our grant of $28,574.from Arizona State Parks of which we have to come up with $4,848, which we will provide with in kind services and volunteer work.  On June 13th, our new supervisor, Jean Bishop, took a tour of the trail system and was impressed by our trails and all of the hard work we have done.

On June 27th, 2014 we were awarded 501(c)3 status, which gives us tax-exempt status as a non-profit organization.  For more info (see: About Us).

On June 8th, 2016 we received the RTP National Achievement Award in Washington, DC for  best trail in the "Multiple-Use Management & Corridor Sharing" category.

In August 2018, we celebrated our ten year anniversary.  We added pictures of local fauna and flora from Jim Sumler, one of our members (see: Fauna & Flora). 

In 2020, we were awarded 2 grants from AZ Sate Parks, one for $30,000 to cover trail maintenance and enhancement and one for $7000 for adding features related to safety, environment and education.

This year, 2024, we are celebrating our 22nd National Trails Day by taking the Mt. Tipton school's 6th grade graduating class for a hike on our Trail System.
